Sweet baby Violet Rose is actually the cousin of another newborn baby I photographed a year and a half ago! Her mom and dad brought her to visit me when she was just 10 days old. She was born weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces and I believe she was back to her birth weight by the time of our session! She was a dream during our session and I loved all of her squishy goodness!

Violet’s mom brought in this super cute headband with matching “sandals” and I thought the roses were very fitting!

This next one has a very special background. Violet is laying on the handmade quilt that her mom’s grandmother made for her future child while she was still in high school. What an amazing keepsake! ♥

I do love the sandals that mom brought, ( I wonder if they have them for adults ;) ) I know smiles can be so hard to catch with newborns, she gave the best of the best, showing how happy she was about getting her newborn portraits taken. Definitely some proud parents, and it shows!
