SESSION INFORMATION

getting to know you

If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to complete the client questionnaire I have emailed you. This will allow me to get to know you and your family a little better and to better prepare for our upcoming session together.

WHEN & WHERE

Maternity sessions are typically held between 30 and 36 weeks, but you are welcome to have it done earlier or later! Your immediate family is welcome to join you in your session - and this includes pets!

You are welcome to have your session at my private outdoor location or at another location that is special to you:

MY LOCATION: country road, lots of trees, tall grass at certain times of the year, log wall, etc - plus the option to include studio portraits at no additional charge

YOUR HOME: more of a laid back lifestyle session, capturing you in the comfort of your own home and you can include the nursery

ON LOCATION: a downtown location, local park, or any other place within metro Atlanta that is special to you

HAIR, MAKEUP, & CLOTHING

MAKEUP & HAIR:

I do recommend professional hair and makeup for maternity sessions, but it is not required. Not only will you feel beautiful and confident, your photos will also have a more polished look. You are welcome to do your own too - from "night out" to a more natural look. Whatever is more you! But, even if you don't wear makeup, I do suggest that you wear at least mascara (natural fake lashes are flattering too!) and some lip balm.

WHAT TO WEAR:

I have a few dresses available for you to use during your session at my location. For these, please wear/bring a flesh-colored strapless bra (we can try to tuck straps if we need to) and flesh-colored seamless underwear. Black, brown, or nude sandals or flats will be perfect.

If you decide to have your session somewhere else or wear your own things, here are a few suggestions:

• Long and flowy or form-fitting dresses

• Regular jeans (not maternity) to leave unbuttoned and a camisole or tank top

• Large buttoned sweater or cardigan (for bare belly shots)

• Buttoned shirt (for bare belly shots)

• Coordinating bra and panty sets (for bare belly shots)

WHAT TO BRING:

• Favorite accessories, scarves, floppy hats, etc

• Coordinating outfits for family members

• Any sentimental items you'd like to include

what NOT to wear

For you and anyone else being photographed: Avoid too much white, busy prints and patterns, small stripes or checks, large logos, and character clothing. Also, make sure that your clothing is as wrinkle-free as possible since wrinkles will show up in your photos and will not be edited out.

If you would like pictures of your bare belly, make sure your clothing is not too tight prior to our session to prevent unflattering marks on your skin.

during your session

I am very laid back and love to have fun during portrait sessions! As far as posing goes, I will guide you and let you know what to do so you look the most flattering and beautiful! The biggest thing to remember is to relax!

rescheduling

As a mom to 5, I completely understand that life happens and people get sick. I just ask that you notify me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. It will show in your portraits if you're not feeling well. Also, if you are including a small child, please schedule your session around their meals and nap time.

If inclement weather is forecast for the day of our session, we can wait until up to 2 hours before to decide if we should reschedule.

viewing your images

You will view your final images and place your order from a private 5-day online gallery - and you are welcome to share your gallery information to show family and friends! Here's how it works:

• I email you approximately 2 weeks after our session to let you know your photos are ready for viewing

• You let me know when you're ready to start your gallery

• I email you detailed instructions on the start day you choose

• You place your order within the 5-day period

• A $50 republishing fee is required to view your gallery once it expires

pricing

Sessions include the time during your session, the editing of your photos, a private online gallery, and a credit toward your order. Session retainers do not include prints, products, or digital images. A complete price list for digital images and other products can be found here.

Payment for your order is due in full before your order is fulfilled. Due to the nature of each product, all sales are final.

Digital images will be delivered to you electronically within 3 business days. USB drives may be purchased separately and will take additional time.

Please allow up to two weeks for print and product orders to be fulfilled. Custom albums will be ordered once you approve your custom design. All tangible orders will be mailed for a flat rate of $10.

reorders and archiving

Your session’s images will be archived once your order is completed. Though you are welcome to purchase additional photos later, digital media tends to be unpredictable and your images are not guaranteed after 90 days. Current pricing applies to all reorders.

I highly recommend purchasing digital images from your session and saving them on multiple computers, external hard drives, and/or with online storage for archival purposes. And don't forget to PRINT them!
