GETTING TO KNOW YOU
• I have put together this information to help you have a successful session! Please read through and let me know if you have any questions before your session!

• Be sure to complete the client questionnaire/contract I have emailed you. This helps me prepare for our time together!

• Please include any special requests in the questionnaire. I can’t guarantee every pose, but it’s best if I know more about your expectations ahead of time!

• You are responsible for choosing a time when your child is happiest. Be sure to avoid nap and meal times.

• Re-shoots and/or refunds are not given for how subjects were acting/smiling or regretful personal choices (i.e. clothes, hairstyles).

IT IS IMPORTANT TO BE ON TIME
• Give yourself plenty of time to get ready and allow extra time for traffic if you are coming from/going through Atlanta.

• All mini sessions are 15 minutes long and scheduled back-to-back.

• The time will come out of your allotted appointment if you are late, and I cannot guarantee your spot if you’re later than your session slot.

• Please arrive picture-ready: dressed, makeup on, hair done, kids’ faces clean, etc.

• You should be ready to be on set at your appointment time.

RESCHEDULING
• If inclement weather is forecast for the day of our outdoor session, we can wait up to 1 hour before to decide if we should reschedule.

• If you or anyone being photographed aren’t feeling well, please reschedule as soon as possible. Everyone attending the session must be symptom-free at least 48 hours before our session.

• Most studio sessions cannot be rescheduled, but your retainer may be used toward a future mini session or full custom session.

• Retainers may not be used toward a future session for no-shows that do not cancel or communicate beforehand.

PETS
• I love animals and you are more than welcome to include your furbabies in your OUTDOOR mini session as long as you let me know ahead of time.

• Please ask before bringing a pet to a STUDIO mini session. Not all sets are furbaby-friendly.

MY LOCATION
• My home studio is located at 8311 W Carroll Rd Whitesburg, GA 30185: a white farmhouse that you can see from the dirt road ACROSS from the 8311 mailbox.

• FALL & STUDIO SESSIONS: Please park at the beginning of the driveway or on the dirt road (slightly on the grass) parallel to the house, then follow the sidewalk to the front door.

• VW BUS/TRUCK SESSIONS: You will be parking in the grass through the open gate to the left of the house (when looking at it). You will be able to see the vehicles/sets from the road.

• SANTA SESSIONS: You are going to a completely different address given to you in your confirmation email!

WHAT TO WEAR
• You’re welcome to dress up, be casual, or wear Christmas pajamas for any of the sets!

• Solid colors are best since they keep the focus on the subjects. One pattern is okay (if desired), and then putting everyone else in solid colors found in that pattern.

• Choose colors found in the set you’re being photographed with (or fall colors for outdoor mini sessions).

• Newer (not faded or pilly), wrinkle-free clothing photographs best. Wrinkles will not be edited out.

• Make sure all clothing fits comfortably and looks good while sitting and standing.

• Be sure to have your children try on their clothes before our session to ensure they fit and that they will not have any sensory issues the day of the session.

• I recommend clean, solid-colored shoes that coordinate with your overall look.

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
• Avoid clothing with tiny stripes, checks, dots, or even small textures. These leave wavy patterns on your final images called moiré that can’t always be edited/fixed.

• Avoid white for outdoor photos. Cream/ivory/off-white photographs much better and looks better with the fall colors!

• Avoid identical outfits for family photos and opt for coordinating, complementary colors and styles instead.

• If you do not absolutely love your arms, do not wear sleeveless tops/dresses.

RETOUCHING, SKIN, & NAILS
• Minor retouching is included for small blemishes. If extensive editing is needed, there will be an additional retouching fee.

• Make sure all babies/kids have clean and newly wiped faces before we start our session.

• Be sure to remove all temporary tattoos and chipped nail polish.

• Moisturize! Dry skin can make any skin tone look ashy.

• Dads: A fresh shave is recommended and any facial hair should be neatly trimmed—including nose hair. This will not be edited.

• Be sure to get a good night’s rest before your session. If you have a late night, your eyes will show it.

• Clean, trimmed nails are important for everyone.

MAKEUP
• Please be aware that glitter, highlighters, and too much lip gloss reflect light and can leave spots on your skin in your images.

• Even if you don’t normally wear makeup, I encourage women to at least wear a light coat of mascara and some lip balm.

HAIR
• Wear hair in a style you’re comfortable with and don’t try a new style or cut at the last minute. If you need a haircut before your session, plan to do so at least 1 week before to allow for a more natural look.

• If you dye your hair, please make sure your roots are touched up prior to our session since these will not be retouched in editing.

• Girls and guys alike should stay away from hair products that make the hair reflective or “crispy”.

DURING YOUR SESSION
• No one should touch the backdrop, props in the set, the lighting, or any other studio gear, with the exception of props I hand you to interact with.

• When trying to get your baby/child to smile, please stand close to me and be on my level so they won’t be looking away from the camera in all of their photos.

• My family sessions are per immediate family, and typically include photos of the whole family, siblings together, kids by themselves, and parents together. Please let me know if you have any specific requests.

• I always try to capture a good mix of candid and posed photos during every session.

YOUR SESSION BALANCE
• The remaining balance for your session ($160.50 with tax) is required on the day of your session. You’re welcome to pay by cash, check, or I can email you an invoice after our session to pay by card..

• Editing your images does not start until your balance is paid in full.

YOUR ORDERING GALLERY
• All mini sessions come with 5 digital images of your choice, and you will select these from a private online gallery on the client website.

• Turnaround time is typically 10-14 days after your session. I know holiday photos are normally time-sensitive, and I always do my best to finish them as soon as possible!

• Viewing galleries are available for 5 consecutive days. I will notify you once your gallery is ready and then you choose when your gallery starts. I will email you the gallery instructions on the day you choose.

• Orders are due within the 5-day viewing period. A gallery extension will need to be purchased for $25 per additional day once your gallery expires.

YOUR ORDER
• You must complete the checkout process to submit your order, even if you have only selected the images that come with your session.

• Payment for additional images or products is due in full before orders are fulfilled and delivered.

• Ordered digital images will be delivered electronically with a personal print release and a lab recommendation. I will send you a separate email containing a download link within 3 business days after your order has been submitted.

• Your download link will be available for one week, and there is a $25 service fee to reupload your images once your link has expired.

• Your session’s images will be archived and guaranteed for 90 days from your order date. Please back up all purchased digital images for safekeeping in multiple places.

• All additional orders are subject to 7% sales tax.

• Unedited JPG and/or RAW files are never available or sold.

• Due to the custom nature of products offered, all sales are final.
