WHAT IS A PETITE STUDIO NEWBORN SESSION?
A Petite Studio Newborn Session is a shorter studio session that focuses only on your new baby! These sessions may last up to an hour and include wrapped/swaddled poses in props or on fabric backdrops.

WHEN TO HAVE YOUR NEWBORN SESSION
Newborn sessions are best between 5 and 18 days. I do photograph older newborns, but they may not sleep or curl up into newborn poses as well. Another reason for an earlier session: baby acne. It happens to almost every baby, so a session before it makes its appearance is the goal. It’s not a problem if your baby already has it! My guide for retouching is; if it’s temporary (acne, scratches, etc.) they get taken out of ordered images. If it’s a birth mark or something permanent, it stays. You’ll want to remember every little detail on your little one!

WHAT I PROVIDE
You will mark your favorite colors in the questionnaire and you can also let me know if you see a certain prop or look you like from my NEWBORN PORTFOLIO. Items may vary and I have several items not yet in my portfolio, but I have a large collection of:

• newborn-sized backdrops
• props
• flokati wool
• swaddles/wraps
• newborn outfits
• newborn headbands
• newborn hats
• newborn-sized stuffed animals and accessories

HOW TO PREPARE / WHAT TO BRING
I recommend trying to keep your baby awake for an hour or two right before our session. A bath is a great way to do this!

Try to plan a feeding right before our session – whether you do it at home before you come or as soon as you get here. A full tummy will help baby settle quicker!

Please wipe away any dried milk or boogers (nose or eyes) before our session!

Be prepared for the room to to be in the upper 70’s and close to 80 degrees. The warmth helps baby sleep and sleepy newborns photograph best.

Be sure to bring:

• extra diapers
• wipes
• an extra outfit
• a receiving blanket
• burp cloths
• pacifier – even if they don’t usually like them
• anything sentimental you’d like to include in your session (please let me know in advance so I can plan!)

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
My home studio is located at 8311 W Carroll Rd Whitesburg, GA 30185, and it’s a white house on a dirt road ACROSS from the 8311 mailbox.

Be on time! Give yourself enough time to get out of the house and avoid traffic. The time will come out of your allotted appointment if you are late.

Please park through the gates at the beginning of the driveway and follow the sidewalk to the front door.

I recommend using Google Maps for directions because other apps have given wrong directions before. My number is 678-896-9502 if you need me.

RESCHEDULING
If you or your baby aren’t feeling well, please reschedule as soon as possible. Everyone attending the session must be symptom-free at least 48 hours before our session without having a fever for 3 days.

Simply Corey Photography is not responsible for any health concerns or illnesses that may arise due to participation in this session.

DURING YOUR SESSION
I will have several sets ready when you arrive. We will start with your absolute favorite and go from there. The number of sets depends on how baby cooperates – they definitely run the show! – but we should be able to get at least three looks in while you’re here!

No cameras permitted during your session, except for behind the scenes pictures. Please do not take pictures of baby alone on my sets or get in my way while I am photographing.

My studio space is on the smaller side, so please keep the number of people attending your session to a minimum.

Everyone should be respectful of the studio and props. Please do not touch the camera, lighting equipment, stored props, etc.

AFTER YOUR SESSION
The remaining balance for your session is required on the day of your session. Editing your images does not start until your balance is paid in full.

I typically show a sneak peek within the first couple of business days after your session! These are posted on my Facebook and Instagram accounts, and I will email you to let you know it has been posted so you don’t miss it! And I would love for you to “love” the photo and click on the share option to show your family and friends!

YOUR ORDERING GALLERY
Your Petite Newborn Session comes with 10 digital images and you will choose these from a private online gallery on the client website, approximately 2 weeks after our session.

Session galleries are available for 5 consecutive days, and when I email to let you know it’s ready, you’ll need to let me know when you’d like to start. I will email you the log-in information and other instructions on the day you choose.

Orders are due within the 5-day viewing period. A gallery extension will need to be purchased for $25 per additional day once your gallery expires.

You are more than welcome to share your gallery information with family and friends.

YOUR ORDER
You must complete the checkout process to submit your order, even if you have only selected the images that come with your session.

Payment for additional images or products is due in full before orders are fulfilled and delivered.

All additional orders are subject to 7% sales tax.

Ordered digital images will be delivered electronically with a personal print release and a lab recommendation. I will send you a separate email with a download link within 3 business days after your order has been submitted.

Your download link will be available for one week, and there is a $25 service fee to reupload your images once your link has expired.

Your session’s images will be archived and guaranteed for 90 days from your order date. Please back up any purchased digital images for safekeeping.

Due to the custom nature of products offered, all sales are final.

BABY’S FIRST YEAR
With your in-home newborn session, you’ll receive a $50 credit toward a milestone or cake smash session within 12 months! I recommend milestone sessions when baby can sit up by themselves and again when they turn one. Some families like to capture 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. Just let me know when you’d like to schedule!
