WITH SIMPLY COREY PHOTOGRAPHY

WHEN TO HAVE YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION
• Senior sessions may be held at any time of year – from the summer before senior year begins up until a month or so from graduation!

• Outdoor sessions held at my location are scheduled a little after sunrise or a little before sunset due to lighting. Studio sessions may be held at any time of day.

• Turnaround time for galleries is approximately 2 weeks, so be sure to schedule enough time if your yearbook has a deadline for dedication pages you need photos for!

GETTING TO KNOW YOU
• Please complete the client questionnaire and client contract that I have emailed you before our session. This helps me to better prepare for our time together!

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
• My home studio is located at 8311 W Carroll Rd Whitesburg, GA 30185, and it’s a white house on a dirt road ACROSS from the 8311 mailbox.

• You don’t want to be rushed and you want to look and feel your best. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get ready and allow time for traffic if you are coming from/going through Atlanta. The time will come out of your allotted appointment if you are late.

• Please park through the gates at the beginning of the driveway and follow the sidewalk to the front door.

• I recommend using Google Maps for directions because other apps have given wrong directions. My number is 678-896-9502 if you need me.

WHAT TO WEAR
• I recommend bringing a few complete outfits to choose from, including accessories.

• First and foremost, make sure to choose clothing you are comfortable in.

• Newer (not faded or pilly), wrinkle-free clothing photographs best. Wrinkles will not be edited out without a fee.

• Make sure tops, dresses, and bottoms fit comfortably and aren’t too tight to prevent unflattering bulges

• You’ll also want to make sure your pockets are empty before we start our session!

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
• Avoid clothing with tiny stripes, checks, or dots. These will leave weird wavy patterns on your final images called moiré.

• Avoid white for outdoor photos. Cream/ivory/off-white will photograph much better,

• If you do not absolutely love your arms, do not wear sleeveless tops/dresses.

CHANGING CLOTHES ON LOCATION
• If you are having your session on-location, public bathrooms may not be available. I have a small pop-up changing tent I will bring or you can change clothes in the car.

• I also recommend planning different tops with the same bottoms and then wearing an undershirt or camisole under tops to make changing easier. Exercise shorts under skirts and dresses also help!

RETOUCHING, SKIN, & NAILS
• Minor retouching is included and covers small blemishes. If extensive editing is needed, there will be an additional retouching fee.

• Moisturize! Dry skin can make any skin tone look ashy.

• Sunburns and uneven tan lines will not be retouched without additional fees. Please plan ahead to avoid uneven coloring or peeling.

• A fresh shave for guys is recommended and any facial hair should be neatly trimmed.

• Be sure to get a good night’s rest before your session. If you have a late night, your eyes will show it.

• Clean, trimmed nails are important for everyone.

• Ladies, please remove any chipped or outgrown nail polish.

MAKEUP
• Avoid glitter, sparkles, highlighters, and too much lip gloss since all of these reflect light and can leave spots on your skin in your images.

• Even if you don’t normally wear makeup, I encourage women to at least wear a light coat of mascara and some lip balm.

• Don’t forget about your hands! Trim/clean your nails and remove any old nail polish. If you do add color to your nails, make sure it complements your clothing choices.

HAIR
• Wear your hair in a style you’re comfortable with and don’t try a new style or cut at the last minute. If you need a haircut before your session, plan to do so at least 1 week before to allow for a more natural look.

• If you dye your hair, please make sure your roots are touched up prior to our session since these will not be retouched in editing.

• Girls and guys alike should stay away from hair products that make the hair reflective or “crispy”.
