This precious girl’s family has been dear to my heart for many years, so I have had the privilege of photographing her since before she was born! You can even take a peek at her newborn and 9 month milestone sessions on the blog.
Since this little beauty is tube fed, her mama waited until her NG-tube was removed and she graduated to a G-tube before we did her cake smash session. She was closer to 18 months at the time, but this was a very special occasion! ♡ Plus, I do offer cake smash sessions for one and two year olds.
We tried a few in one outfit but it just didn’t fit quite right, so we stuck with this adorable yellow dress – that I thought fit the theme just perfectly!
Miss Haddie loves the movie Encanto and the songs would make her smile at all of her other milestone sessions. So, I came up with this colorful Casita set for her cake smash – and I love how it turned out!
Encanto also means “charm” in Spanish … and this baby girl is full of that!
Of course, her smile was brighter than any of the colors on the set. Baby girl has always made my day with that contagious smile of hers! ♡
Such a busy baby girl! Always climbing, twirling … choosing which prop she wanted to sit on next! Ha! I loved that she went and grabbed her feeding tube supplies out of her bag and sat with them on the set for a photo.
It was finally time for cake! I loved the little naked cake her mama brought. So perfect for the set – and one of my favorites for a lot of cake smashes!
We weren’t exactly sure how Miss Haddie would do. She still wasn’t a big eater, but she humored us and played in the cake – and even tasted some! I have a lot of babies who aren’t exactly interested in the cake, so she did great!
I love the little bit of frosting on her nose – and hair! Ha!
The cake was okay, getting to choose the props to sit on was even better, but the best part? She absolutely LOVED the splash in my little tub at the end! I think that smile says it all. ♡
