Ariyah’s Sunshine Cake Smash

The mama of this little beauty requested a set that would match her birthday invitation – a cute yellow duck with colorful flowers! As soon as I saw it, I knew which backdrop I wanted to include in her cake smash set. But first, we did some one-year milestone portraits on a simple floral backdrop!

I just loved the bold magenta dress with the floral backdrop …

And baby girl had two different ones!

After the colorful floral backdrop, we did some photos on the cake smash set … without the cake. It is one of my favorite sets because the colors of the sunshine and flowers are so cheery!

A few photos in a sweet yellow dress …

and then it was back to pink for cake!

She had the best expressions – and smiles!

She enjoyed digging into yellow cake – and I her love the mess on her face!

My favorite part was when she dove into her cake face first though! Ha!

She crawled away when she was done smashing … and she looked pretty pleased with her masterpiece! I was impressed that most of the mess was on her little hands and face, with barely anything on the floor!

But she was all cleaned up in no time thanks to a fun splash in my little tub after her smash!

Such a fun way to celebrate a first birthday – and she rocked it!
