Ashley’s Summer Maternity Session

This beautiful mama is like a niece to me. I have known her since she was little – when she and my kids were in the same church classes and ministries together. Her mother has become one of my best friends over the years, so it was such a pleasure to take Ashley’s maternity photos.

This session was back in August, and I have photographed her sweet baby girl’s newborn photos and 4 month milestone photos already! Those will be on the blog later …

We had to keep rescheduling her maternity photos due to rain. This day was gloomy and actually rained us out, but we made these pregnancy portraits happen! We were afraid we were running out of time since she was already having contractions here and there and her doctors were already having to monitor her amniotic fluid levels. But thankfully her baby girl stayed put for 12 more days after our session, and her photos turned out beautiful despite the weather! ♡

Ashley wore her own dress for her session, but topped it off with one of the kimonos I have available for my maternity clients to use. It was the perfect touch!

I love that her mom joined her for her session. Not only is she one of my best friends, she is a wonderful mama and Lita (short for abuelita ♡). I’m so glad I could capture these sweet moments – and such a major milestone – for them!
